Tuesdays with Dorie: Marquise au Chocolat

So. I have been completely lax about updates recently though I have been keeping up with the Make 365 Somethings challenge I set myself. Honestly I have no clue how I have got to 60+ days with that. I can list down a whole lot of things I have never been able to follow through with.

I also managed to bake the Marquise au Chocolat though I totally missed the blogpost deadline for that… so this is me trying to catch up a little bit.

Tuesdays with Dorie Marquise au Chocolat

It was a fairly easy dessert to whip up (something I like about this baking book) and since it’s main ingredient is chocolate, the taste really is dependent on the chocolate you choose to use. There was some talk about raw eggs being used in the recipe but in the end I bought some organic ones and called it a day – I eat cookie dough on a regular basis anyway – salmonella be damned. 7210dbf4e02913af238bdd28f771a47eI think the tricky part about this recipe is finding the correct time to cut into it…  found that I had to wait a little while while it ‘thawed’ so that it would not splinter into (delicious) chocolate pieces which I would then have to eat so that the plate would be ‘presentable’. 🙂
